Training programs are based on the following guiding principles:

• Concerned with the growth of the individual as a group facilitator - it is not a form of therapy


• Emphasis is placed on didactic session and experiential processes in the here and now


• Developing facilitator skills requires practical experience of facilitating/co-facilitating groups and sharing, both personal and theoretical, insights with peers. This program is about doing and is highly interactive


• Emphasis is also placed on self-directedness, autonomy, building on personal strengths and increasing reliance on one's own resource
